Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician* Sign-On Bonus Available *$10,000 Upon hire $2500 at 6 months $2500 at 12 months *With a 12 month additional obligation *Pay: *New Wage Scale*Weekend Option Night Shift Fri-Sun (39 hours/week)Medical Laboratory Scientist- $36.76-$56.00 based on experience, plus 10% shift differentialMedical Laboratory Technician- $28.89-$44.77 based on experience, plus 10% shift differential2 Days/1 Night Mon Thur/Fri (39 hours/week)Medical Laboratory Scientist- $28.28-$43.84 based on experience, plus 10% night shift differentialMedical Laboratory Technician- $22.22-$34.44 based on experience, plus 10% night shift differentialEvening shift Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri (40 hours/week)Medical Laboratory Scientist- $28.28-$43.84 based on experience, plus 10% evening shift differentialMedical Laboratory Technician- $22.22-$34.44 based on experience, plus 10% evening shift differentialIncentive Eligible Position:YesEssential Functions:Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results.Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping.Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.Serve as a back-up to lab manager as needed.Perform all other duties as assigned.Must be able to stand, walk, grasp, carry and speak frequentlyMust be able to occasionally sit, reach, bend and stoopLifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if neededFrequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone.Skills Abilities:Demonstrates executive and leadership skills, customer service and problem solving skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Working Conditions:Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.Physical Demands:Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.MLT or CLS, ASCP, CPT or AMT certification requiredPreferred Qualifications:Medical laboratory experience preferred
