Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.Serve as a back-up to lab manager as needed.Perform all other duties as assigned.Must be able to stand, walk, grasp, carry and speak frequentlyMust be able to occasionally sit, reach, bend and stoopLifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if neededFrequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone.Skills Abilities:Demonstrates executive and leadership skills, customer service and problem solving skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Working Conditions:Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.Physical Demands:Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.MLT or CLS, ASCP, CPT or AMT certification requiredPreferred Qualifications:Medical laboratory experience preferred
