ML Engineer, Prediction & Planning — Hybrid Role

Waymo is seeking a machine learning specialist on the Predictive Planning team to advance the next-generation ML-powered prediction and planning system for the Waymo Driver. This hybrid role reports to a manager on the PrePlan team and involves close collaboration with researchers, engineers, and product owners to deliver safe, efficient planning for autonomous driving.

You will frame open-ended challenges as ML problems, research foundation models and reinforcement learning, and develop large
