MIXER OPERATOR

Mixer OperatorKENT Nutrition Group, Inc., a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, is seeking a Mixer Operator to join our team in Beardstown, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing scheduled feed mill mixing operations to support production goals and ensure products meet quality and company specifications. This is a first-shift opportunity working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m.The starting wage for this role is $23.04 per hour in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain mixing system for all finished feedsCalibration of the mixing systemEnsure all mixing is in accordance with formula card for quality assuranceRecord and update logs of various feed formulations mixed dailyMake sure equipment is operating properly, cleaned and maintained to ensure proper and continual working condition if mill operationKeep management informed of any errors or issues in the mixing processFollow feed mill Standard Operating ProceduresAssist in any area of production as requested by the production superintendent, plant manager or supervisorLearn and follow cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) in Feed Mixer's GuideOther duties as assigned by plant managementEducation & Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDMust be a minimum of 18 years old to work in plantKnowledge of OSHA safety requirementsKnowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety PlanKnowledge of FSMAGood communication skills; verbal and writtenMath skills sufficient to complete documentationGood mechanical aptitudeThorough understanding of cGMP'sAbility to cooperate with co-workers is essentialExcellent work ethic a mustExperience:Prior experience in feed or production related workPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. from floor to working height as job requiresAbility to work safely in a dust environmentAbility to work indoors and outdoors in all seasonal weather conditionsAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
