Co-Executive Director for Operations and DevelopmentThe Missouri Organizing and Voter Engagement Collaborative (MOVE) and Missouri Organizing and Voter Engagement Action (MOVE Action) are C3 and C4 tables operating jointly as a hub for progressive, grassroots organizations to shift power and reclaim democracy in Missouri. By coordinating and catalyzing strategic voter engagement efforts across the state, MOVE and MOVE Action are building a 1.6 million-voter-strong multiracial governing majority in Missouri that can win progressive policies and elect progressive candidates.The Co-Executive Director for Operations and Development leads MOVE's financial sustainability, operational excellence, and organizational infrastructure functions. This position holds equal authority with the Co-Executive Director for Programs, Strategy, and Organizing, with both reporting to the Board of Directors.

This role ensures MOVE has the resources, systems, and operational capacity to achieve its goal of building a 1.6-million-voter governing majority.Position Title: Co-Executive Director for Operations and DevelopmentLocation: Missouri, with offices in Kansas City and St. LouisStatus: Full-time, ExemptSalary: $120,000Reports to: Board of Directors (shared leadership with peer Co-Executive Director)Core ResponsibilitiesOversee general operations of three aligned organizations: c3, c4, and state PACManage the Operations Director and provide strategic direction for organizational systemsEnsure compliance across multiple entity types and regulatory requirementsLead financial audit oversight and business operations managementDevelop and implement operational systems that support organizational growth and efficiencyManage organizational budget development and financial planning processesDevelopment and FundraisingSet ambitious multi-year budgets and fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Program DirectorInspire multi-million dollar investments from national progressive fundersManage major donor relationships and serve as organizational spokesperson to fundersManage Development DirectorEnsure sustainable funding streams for both election and non-election year programmingDevelop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across individual, foundation, and institutional donorsBoard Relations and GovernanceServe as primary liaison between staff leadership and Board of DirectorsEnsure strategic alignment with multicycle goals in an ever-evolving political ecosystemCoordinate Board meeting preparation, strategic planning processes, and governance complianceSupport Board development and engagement in organizational strategic directionServe as primary organizational spokesperson for financial, operational, and board-related mattersShared Organizational LeadershipCollaborate on major organizational decisions through established Co-Executive Director decision-making protocolsShare ultimate accountability for organizational performance and crisis managementRequired QualificationsLeadership and Financial Management ExperienceMinimum 5+ years senior leadership experience with demonstrated success in financial management and operationsProven track record in fundraising and development, with experience securing multi-million dollar investmentsExperience managing complex budgets and financial systems across multiple entity typesStrong understanding of nonprofit compliance requirements, particularly 501c3/c4 operationsOrganizational Development ExperienceDemonstrated experience in organizational systems development and operational excellenceExperience working with Boards of Directors in strategic partnershipTrack record of building sustainable organizational infrastructure that supports growthExperience managing through others and developing high-performing teamsCore CompetenciesStrong financial acumen with the ability to develop and manage complex organizational budgetsExceptional relationship management skills for donor engagement and board relationsSystems thinking with the ability to design and implement operational processesClear communication skills for financial reporting, donor relations, and board engagementDeep commitment to organizational values of racial justice and multiracial solidarityPreferred QualificationsExperience in the Missouri political and funding landscapeBackground in progressive political organizations or social justice movementsExperience in shared leadershipUnderstanding of campaign finance and political compliance requirementsWhat We OfferCompensation and BenefitsComprehensive Benefits: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for individual coverage; 2/3rd employer-paid coverage for familiesRetirement: 2% automatic contribution plus 3% employer match on 401kProfessional Development: Support for ongoing leadership development and strategic learning opportunitiesRelocation SupportRelocation to Missouri is encouraged but not required.
