To support surgical quality improvement initiatives, the full-time Missouri Licensed Surgical Reviewer will abstract surgical data, ensuring accurate case inclusion and data integrity while working remotely from the metro St. Louis area. Key responsibilities Identify surgical patients for inclusion in the ACS NSQIP registry through strict application of inclusion/exclusion criteria Collect reliable preoperative, operative, and postoperative data using medical record systems and clinical information resources Establish effective relationships with hospital staff to promote program awareness and ensure successful data management Required qualifications Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in HIM/Nursing or related field 2-5 years of relevant experience No supervisory experience required Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in HIM/Nursing or related field Preferred: RN or relevant health information certifications
