Supporting the prior authorization request process, the full-time Missouri Licensed Authorization Specialist will assist the utilization management team in documenting authorization requests, verifying member insurance coverage, and ensuring timely adjudication for payment while working remotely. Key responsibilities Aid the utilization management team by maintaining tracking and documentation on authorizations and referrals Research and document necessary medical information for the authorization review process Verify member insurance coverage and process authorization requests in accordance with guidelines Required qualifications High School diploma or GED 1 - 2 years of related experience Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred Must reside in the state of Missouri Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship
