This mission will ask everything of us: urgency, precision, and relentless work.The RoleWe're hiring a Field Service Representative to support the deployment, sustainment, and operational readiness of Scout's autonomous systems in the field. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting deployed systems, ensuring fleet availability, and serving as Scout's technical representative alongside customers during operations, demonstrations, and fielding events.You will act as the front-line expert for Scout's platforms, owning system performance in real-world environments and ensuring issues are diagnosed and resolved quickly. This role requires deep hands-on technical ability across hardware and software, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate independently in dynamic and often austere environments.You will deploy with customer teams and internal operations personnel, providing on-site support, maintenance, and technical guidance. Your work directly ensures mission readiness, system reliability, and successful customer adoption.ResponsibilitiesMaintain operational readiness of deployed systems through inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairsDiagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues in real-world environments; execute timely and effective repairsServe as the primary technical point of contact in the field, working directly with customers to resolve issues and ensure system performanceSupport system installation, configuration, integration, and fielding at customer locationsTrack, document, and manage maintenance actions, service logs, and system status across the deployed fleetCoordinate with engineering and product teams to escalate issues, provide detailed feedback, and support root cause analysisSupport customer demonstrations, evaluations, and operational deployments, ensuring systems are mission-ready and professionally presentedManage spare parts, tools, and field support equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuityTrain and advise operators on system use, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting proceduresAssist in developing maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and field support processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field) or equivalent hands-on experience3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or supporting complex electromechanical, robotic, or autonomous systemsStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systemsExperience diagnosing issues in the field and independently driving resolution under time pressureAbility to interface directly with customers and represent the company in operational environmentsExperience documenting maintenance actions, system issues, and service activities in a structured mannerComfortable working in field environments with frequent travel and extended deployments (50-75%)Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical issues into clear, actionable insightsMust be a U.S.
