Location: Palmdale, CA   Relocation assistance: may be available   Schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday‑Thursday, every other Friday off)

Clearance required: Yes – Clearance type: Secret   Special Access Program clearance: Must be obtainable within a reasonable time.

Travel: Yes, 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Define and monitor mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.
• Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Assure on‑time delivery of high‑quality products and services that meet all contractual requirements and business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems, and services through world‑class manufacturing, lean principles, six‑sigma projects, and best practices.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with mission assurance programs, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Interpret policies, regulatory and governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
• Lead an inclusive, motivated, and engaged work culture.
• Support program development by assuring engineering products and processes meet internal and customer requirements.
• Work directly with engineering and manufacturing to conduct ongoing inspections, process control analyses, and audits.
• Ensure alignment of Quality/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering processes with industry maturity models and QMS standards (ISO 9001).
• Provide oversight of factory accountability and foreign object elimination practices.
• Review trend metrics and analyze failures to drive improvements in performance.
• Standardize and facilitate root‑cause/corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee supplier quality management, collaborating with sites’ Quality & Mission Assurance and Global Supply Chain leaders to deliver preventive solutions for procured materials and services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years of related experience, OR Master’s degree + 8 years of related experience. Related experience includes professional and/or military experience in aircraft, aerospace, manufacturing, quality, program management, engineering, or business management functions.
• Minimum 5 years of lead/manager/team‑lead experience.
• Active DoD clearance (secret or higher).

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or MBA degree.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Mission Assurance roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in metric development for process health and performance monitoring on large programs/projects.
• Extensive leadership experience, preferably in Aerospace and Defense.
• Leadership experience in both EMD and Production programs.
• Experience developing, communicating, and instituting new processes for an organization.
• Familiarity with NG QMS and ISO 9001.
• Current Special Program Access (PAR).

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $242,100.00 – $363,100.00 (base pay depends on experience, education, skills, and market conditions).

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives (for VP/Director positions). Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and PTO.
