Role: MIS Senior Application Support Developer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 9/15/2025 – 9/15/2026

Rate: No Max Rate

Job Description:

This role involves maintaining legacy systems (Natural, VB6, SQL) while contributing to new features and migration to compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage legacy Natural code and resolve production issues.
• Develop data “cleanup” scripts (SQL, Natural) for data de-duplication and data integrity.
• Perform source data analysis for migration planning (SQL, Natural).
• Support data migration testing and validation.
• Represent MDCPS in project meetings, technical sessions, and inter-agency collaborations.
• Act as SME for both MACWIS legacy system and modern CCWIS platform.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 10+ years Natural Programming experience.
• 10+ years Visual Basic 6 experience.
• 10+ years SQL Programming experience.
• .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET).
• Strong legacy system support and troubleshooting background.
• Experience with data integration, batch processing, and file-based interfaces.
• Familiar with code refactoring, modularization, and system migrations.
• Experience with source control tools (Git, SVN, TFS).
• Strong understanding of child welfare business processes (case management, intake, service planning, licensing, reporting).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Experience with ADABAS.
