Job TitleThis position will work across our service portfolio to provide support for existing websites using our campus-wide Web Hosting and central CMS services. This includes helping internal service teams and external campus partners with WordPress, Google Analytics (Universal and/or G4), and proficiency with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) platforms and web hosting management tools and protocols (Plesk, GIT, SFTP, etc.)Job SummaryDesigns, develops, tests, debugs, and troubleshoots software and applications. Conducts system analysis and design, and provides technical leadership, training, and guidance to lower level staff to support information technology business operations.Job ResponsibilitiesReviews application design specifications, codes new applications, and makes enhancements to existing applicationsDesigns and implements test plans, and prepares systems test dataPrepares program documentation and training requirementsDevelops, prepares, or modifies technical specifications for complex projects, system integrations, and upgradesConducts systems analysis, reviews and interprets system requirements, and develops detailed system design specifications for system integration and upgradesReviews application modules for quality assurance and checks compliance with application architecture standardsConducts analysis for the evaluation and selection of vendor software solutions and packagesLeads sub-functional team for application development or enhancementContributes to the development of data structure and systems performance strategiesTrains and provides technical guidance to lower level staffUnique ResponsibilitiesManage WordPress sites for both internal and external teams including regular maintenance, upgrades and feature enhancements.Engage with hosting platforms as it pertains to WordPress website development and hosting.Required Qualifications - (5 max)Extensive professional experience developing websites on WordPress, includingdemonstrated experience developing child themes and pluginsKnowledge of best practices and use of vendor plugins for WordPressDemonstrated experience with MySQL as it is connected to WordPress websitesExperience working with Web Hosting Control Panels (Plesk/cPanel), GIT (version control systems), Secure FTP, etc.
