Mirth DeveloperThe candidate will provide maintenance to application, support enterprise applications, and have experience using implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe scope of this role includes public health data interfaces between internal systems, providers, vendors, and partner health laboratory systems. In addition, the Mirth Developer will be involved in technical design, documentation, interfacing with other development efforts, and implementations.Responsible for analysis, integration, and implementation of the overall interface solution related to interfacing with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), health informatics systems, cloud data lakes, and other third-party applicationsStrong working knowledge of HL7 and Mirth Connect is requiredStrong Java and JavaScript programmingDevelop and maintain integration solutions using REST API, Web servicesDevelop cloud-based applications and orchestration using KubernetesAssist in defect verification and troubleshooting, release testing and maintenance supportProvide technical expertise and direction to define, analyze, refine, and validate requirements, problem identification and issue resolutionProvide tier-3 call support for critical production outagesAble to report, track, and communicate status and issuesWorks collaboratively with internal project team in agile, fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts and sharing of knowledge with diverse audiencesRequired SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related3-6+ years of experience in healthcare IT, preferably in a hospital, laboratory, or health information exchange settingComplete fluency with the HL7 2.x file format (ADT and clinical messages) and a thorough understanding of how interface development projects workExperience with configuring and troubleshooting high volume HL7 v2 data interfaces including ADT, Lab (ORU) and Vaccination (VXU).Experience with file parsing (XML, XSLT, etc.)Comfort level with object-oriented programming concepts a plusExperience working with industry leading HL7 interface engine NextGen Mirth Connect.Experience with facilitating and leading detailed interoperability implementation discussions with clients.Good communication skills, client facingRequired Skills: Candidate needs to have solid Mirth development skills.
