Minnesota Licensed Medical Coder

To support the Emergency Department, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Medical Coder will identify and assign appropriate ICD-10 Codes, CPT, and modifiers for facility services while adhering to coding guidelines, with the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. Key responsibilities: Expertly assign ICD-10 Codes, CPT, and modifiers for Emergency Department services in compliance with coding guidelines Maintain required levels of coding quality and productivity as established by the organization Participate in coding department meetings and educational events to stay updated on coding practices Required qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g., CCA, CCS, CPC) 2+ years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and facility charging, specifically in Emergency Room coding Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and various EMR systems Commitment to maintaining up-to-date coding knowledge and ethical standards
