Minnesota Licensed Coding SME

To enhance coding operations and quality metrics, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Coding SME will oversee facility-based coding services, lead quality initiatives, and maintain client relationships while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Key responsibilities: Maintains expert knowledge of coding practices and oversees coding operations to ensure quality and efficiency Collaborates with HIM, CDI, and coding leadership to monitor operations and conduct prebill quality reviews Leads initiatives for continuous quality improvement and provides training and mentoring to coding staff Required qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Current, active coding credential through AAPC or AHIMA 5+ years of experience in a corporate coding leadership role within large multi-site healthcare organizations 5+ years of experience auditing inpatient and/or outpatient accounts Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data management and training presentations
