Finance AssistantThe Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party is looking for a Finance Assistant to manage contributions, maintain data systems, and help execute a robust finance plan. This role will work directly with the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director. Individuals who apply should have excellent data management and interpersonal communication skills.Core responsibilities include:Input contributions from online contributions, checks, and any other sources into NGP, collaborating with Comptroller to ensure contribution data meets compliance requirementsManage routine upkeep of NGP and other databasesManage the processing and mailing of contribution receiptsAssist the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director with fundraising events from preparation to the event itselfCommunicate with donors who are looking for receipts or have questions about their donationsWith the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director, manage and train the department internsResearch donors, event venues, and potential special guestsDemonstrate the highest standards of accountability to all internal stakeholders, including the Chair, Executive Director, SLT members, and staff across the organization.Perform other duties as assignedQualities and attributes for success include:High attention to detailEnthusiasm for data managementCommitment to the principles of the DFL party and to electing Democratic candidates at every levelCollaborative, empathetic and inclusive approach to internal and external relationships.All-hands-on-deck mindsetAdaptability and problem-solvingAbility and eagerness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, constituencies and partnersAdditional qualities that will contribute to success in this role:Knowledge of NGP 8 and ActBlueSkilled with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Sheets and ExcelFamiliarity with FEC and MN CFB regulations
