Millwright Mechanic / Maintenance TechnicianThis role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure that production equipment operates safely and efficiently by performing diagnostics, corrective repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery, including 3-phase motors and automated equipment.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts, ensuring safe and reliable operation.Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs and automated equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.Maintain, repair, and replace 3-phase motors, controls, and related components as needed.Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs.Disassemble mechanical components, perform necessary repairs or replacements, and reassemble equipment correctly.Change bearings, knobs, belts, and other mechanical parts to keep equipment in optimal working condition.Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems to ensure proper pressure, flow, and operation.Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems to maintain consistent performance of air-driven components.Perform electromechanical maintenance, including work on wiring, controls, and mechanical assemblies.Use welding skills as needed to support equipment repair and maintenance tasks.Use personal tools and equipment safely and effectively while performing maintenance duties.Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to identify issues and implement long-term solutions.Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to relevant stakeholders.Essential SkillsProven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts.Hands-on experience working with 3-phase motors and 3-phase electrical systems.Strong PLC troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues with automated equipment.Mechanical ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery accurately and safely.Experience changing bearings, knobs, belts, and similar mechanical components.Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems.Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Experience with electromechanical systems, including wiring and controls.Willingness and ability to bring and use personal tools for maintenance work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a maintenance technician or millwright mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Familiarity with conveyor systems and related mechanical components.Experience working with hydraulic systems in a production environment.Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery.Welding skills to support repair and maintenance activities.Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Work Here?You will join a stable manufacturing operation that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, with benefits becoming effective after a short waiting period.

The work environment includes an industrial shop floor setting with fans and open windows to improve airflow. You will work primarily as a maintenance technician on-site, handling a mix of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical tasks. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with some Saturday work as needed. You are expected to bring and use your own tools while following all safety procedures in an active production environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hialeah, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
