Job TitleResponsible for supervising the foreman by monitoring quality and safety. Provide planning and direction directly to the assigned foreman for construction activities for the project.Overview of Primary DutiesCoordinates oversees, and briefs crew on daily work to be completedPlans and prioritizes job tasks for assigned crewsDirects and trains assigned supervision on the project for quality work and efficient productionFamiliar with the project safety planEnforce safe practices and completion of required safety reportsEnsure that all work meets or exceeds the company's standardsManage crew timesheetsPrepares quality and quantity reportsComprehend blueprints, sketches, and plansEvaluate, monitor, and report on work progressionEnsuring that all work is conducted in compliance with the man-hour budgetMaintaining short-range look-ahead plansServe as a subject matter expert in the field of work being completed to assist if needed or conduct trainingAssisting the superintendent with look ahead reports and coordinating work schedules of all specialty contractors on the projectKnow the OSHA inspection processIdentify and correct any unsafe conditions that may exist or occur on the projectPerform project inspectionAssist the superintendent in planning for job equipment, material, and employee requirements in advanceAttend any required meetings, including scheduled supervisory meetingsDemonstrate Yates Core Values and PrinciplesFollow Yates Code of ConductSafety Responsibilities and Expectations Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work by the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work PracticesReport all incidents, near hits, and hazards to management.Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.Participate in workplace inspections.Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care.Participate in required and assigned training.Provide suggestions to improve Safety.Present a mature approach to working safely.Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.Other related duties as needed and assigned by Field Supervision.This is not an all-inclusive list of tasks an employee may be asked to do. Employees are expected to complete any tasks they are assigned.QualificationsLevel I:Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experienceMinimum of six (6) years of craft-classified experienceMinimum of two (2) years of supervision experienceExperience managing five to fifteen (5 to 15) team membersFormal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical, or trade school such as NCCER Certification Plus.Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language Level II:Same as Level ISuccessful completion of Yates Supervisor trainingRequirementsSupervise installation per work packs and report quantitiesComplete time sheets for their direct reports to track progress and verify timeResponsible for the quality of the finished product, completing quality documentation including check sheets and final documentationRead ISO's, Blueprints, P&IDsSuccessful completion of required Safety training to include, but not limited to, Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at HeightsPhysical Demands/Essential Job FunctionsPhysical requirements for this role may include but are not limited to:All weather conditions at varying temperaturesWork at varying elevationsWill work in windy and dusty environmentsModerate to high noise levelsThe project site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and toolsAbility to hear bells, whistles, and alarmsRequired to wear safety-approved body harnesses when working at 4' or aboveRequired to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and liftingAbility to talk and hear to communicateWill use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and toolsMust be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 25 lbs.Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral visionAbout Yates ConstructionRanked among the top commercial and industrial construction companies in the country by Engineering News-Record, Yates Construction is family-owned.
