Mills Operator Lead (3rd shift) - Belcamp, MDOversee all aspects of the milling process. Have complete knowledge of machines, products, procedures, and company policies.Responsibilities:Assure all milling processing equipment is running as efficiently and safely as possible.Train all operators in milling operations, and safety and quality procedures.Follow all BRC and company processing guidelines and regulations.Verify all paperwork and logs are completed daily.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.Solve practical problems and troubleshoot equipment, and products.Follow detailed procedures thoroughly and accurately.Inspect, and examines mills, sifters, and other machine parts prior to starting each run.Monitor all aspects of the milling production area, including employees.Guarantee product conformity.Assist operators in machine changeovers when needed.Keep department productivity flowing throughout the shift.Relay issues between operators and management.Must know production schedules, and deadlines.Ensure all employees are following company guidelines and BRC regulations.Ensure daily logs and paperwork is accurately completed in the department.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma/GED requiredMinimum two years' experience in mechanical or manufacturing field requiredPrior forklift training required; current certification preferredFlexibility to support/train on all three shiftsStrong math skillsStrong oral comprehension and expression skillsDemonstrated success leading teamDependability with a sense of urgencyWalk long distances.Ability to climb on and off a forklift repeatedlyAble to work in confined spacesPush, pull, lift, & carry heavy product such as equipment, bags and drums weighing up to 100lbsAble to extend arms with hands over the head or at shoulder heightHold, grasp or turn with the use of handsTouch, pickup, and pinch with the use of fingersKneel, stoop, or bend downwards and forwardAscend or descend ladders and platformsStand, work, and walk at heights on platforms at least six feet or higherExpress or exchange ideas by means of spoken word.
