Dental Milling TechnicianLocation: Waunakee, WI Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PMPosition SummaryD&S Dental Laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented and technology-driven Dental Milling Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining advanced CAD/CAM milling equipment used to manufacture high-quality dental restorations.The ideal candidate enjoys working with technology, takes pride in producing precise work, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.Milling OperationsPrepare, schedule, and manage milling jobs according to production priorities.Operate CNC milling equipment used in the fabrication of dental restorations.Monitor milling processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality results.Load materials, tools, and digital files according to production specifications.Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as they arise.Quality ControlInspect milled restorations for accuracy, fit, and overall quality.Identify defects and communicate concerns promptly.Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Team CollaborationCommunicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding workflow and case status.Assist with cross-training opportunities between Milling, Greenware, and other production departments as needed.Support production goals by maintaining efficiency and meeting deadlines.Continuous ImprovementStay current with advancements in milling technology, materials, and manufacturing processes.Contribute ideas that improve workflow, quality, and efficiency.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic computer proficiencyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsPreferredCNC milling experienceDental laboratory experienceCAD/CAM or digital manufacturing experienceManufacturing or production experienceSkills & CompetenciesIntegrity and professionalismDependability and accountabilityStrong attention to detailProblem-solving and critical thinkingEffective communication skillsPositive team-oriented attitudeAbility to remain focused and productive while meeting deadlinesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and fine motor skillsAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to safely work around production equipmentWork EnvironmentD&S is a manufacturer of dental appliances operating in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative production environment.
