Mill Production Supervisor IIWe are seeking an experienced Mill Production Supervisor II to oversee daily mill operations, supervise production employees, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a lumber manufacturing and remanufacturing environment. This role is responsible for production scheduling, equipment oversight, maintenance coordination, safety compliance, and team development.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in lumber manufacturing, pallet production, or remanufacturing operations who can build high-performing teams while maximizing efficiency, productivity, and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction ManagementSupervise daily mill production operations and ensure production goals are achieved.Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and operational objectives.Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput.Coordinate production activities to minimize downtime and maximize output.Equipment OperationsOperate and oversee production equipment, including:Scragg OperatorEdger OperatorEnsure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance activities to reduce equipment failures and downtime.Team LeadershipLead, train, and mentor production employees.Build and develop a strong production team from the ground up.Delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability throughout the department.Promote teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.Safety & QualityMaintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.Monitor product quality and ensure production standards are consistently met.Conduct regular inspections to ensure operational compliance.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity.Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.Recommend process improvements that support efficiency, quality, and profitability.QualificationsExperience in lumber manufacturing, remanufacturing, or pallet production required.Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting required.Experience operating Scragg and Edger equipment preferred.Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to take direction, follow through on assignments, and lead by example.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift between 15 and 45 pounds regularly.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in an industrial environment for extended periods.Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day.Willingness to work overtime as needed.BenefitsCompetitive salary: $55,000 – $75,000 annuallyFull-time, stable employmentCareer advancement opportunitiesDynamic and team-oriented work environmentOpportunity to play a key role in production growth and operational successJoin our team and help lead a high-performing mill operation focused on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
