We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator to join our team at our St. Louis, MO Milling location. A Mill Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the milling department and employees.Responsibilities:Directly oversees and monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specificationsOptimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's productionFacilitate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtimeEnsure the mill is organized and clean at all timesMaintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulationsMake sure all production personnel follow SOP's, GMP's, OSHA and HACCP guidelines at all timesWill be required to maintain documentation of a variety of activities and inventories.

These may be either on a paper format or electronic formatMust learn and execute basic equipment maintenance to improve production reliabilityMake recommendations for line efficiency and productivity improvementsCommunicate effectively with other supervisors in mill, maintenance, packaging and loadout departments and assist when neededThis role requires regular presence on the plant floor, requires lifting up to 50 lbsQualifications:Previous flour milling experience requiredBachelor of Science, Milling Science and Management or IAOM Correspondence Course completionAbility to communicate effectivelyMust be comfortable using a computer and able to learn new software for productionAbility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays requiredRichardson is recognized as a global leader in agriculture and food processing with over 4,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Europe.
