Mill Operator

Job TitlePrimary Duties:Checks consistency of dropped batches and alerts supervisor of any poorly mixed batchesMaintains a steady stream of rubber from the dump mill to the calender boxAdjusts water valves and nip gap on dump and strip mills to ensure proper rubber adhesion to front bowlKeeps conveyor belts and belt rollers clear of any excess rubberRetrieves tails from Line 2 calender and places them back onto strip millHas a working knowledge of the safety devices on the mills and calenderAssists the calender operator when neededKeeps work area clean and free of safety hazardsInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities related to product, process and the systemControl further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedEqual Employment Opportunity/Veterans/Disability Employer
