Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoAssist maintenance personnel when requested/neededParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CulturePerform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed without the assistance of maintenance personnelTroubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with othersUnderstand start up, shutdown, and emergency proceduresAssist maintenance personnel when requested or neededEnsure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shiftResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPEOperate pendant crane to transfer wire spindle replacement to tie machine locationObtains information concerning order specifications, rolling sequences, piece counts, product length and bundling perimeters, etcClean and repair roll stand and guide equipmentBecome proficient with measuring equipment and techniques and properly use these to assist in building, changing and maintaining stands, guide boxes and loopers and to maintain proper Rolling Mill settings that ensure a quality productWhat You'll NeedAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesBasic computer skillsMust be able to learn quickly and multitaskMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsWork on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidaysAbility to work overtime as required, including planned schedules and unplanned emergency situationsDemonstrated dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
