Milk ReceiverThe Milk Receiver is responsible for receiving raw milk deliveries, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and accurately documenting all incoming products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity and supporting the production process in a food manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify tanker seals, temperature, and milk quality upon arrivalCollect and test milk samples for compliance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., antibiotics, temperature, odor)Operate pumps, valves, and related equipment to transfer milk from tanker to storage silosEnsure proper sanitation of hoses and connections before and after unloadingComplete receiving logs, quality test records, and inventory updates accuratelyMaintain compliance with state and federal dairy regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA)Clean and sanitize receiving area and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP)Follow all food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP guidelines.Coordinate with drivers, quality assurance, and production teams regarding delivery schedules and issuesQualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education requirement equivalentMinimum 1 year of dairy or food manufacturing experience preferredKnowledge of food safety regulations and quality testing proceduresAbility to operate pumps, valves, and CIP (Clean-In-Place) systemsStrong attention to detail and recordkeeping skillsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentRequired to maneuver plant and warehouse workspaces which involve:Frequently standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing, work around loud machinery and moving partsContinually utilize hand and finger dexterity, continually exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, exposed to outside weather conditions, and push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds safelyRequires standing for extended periods and handling heavy hoses.
