Military Peer Support Specialist

To support individuals in need, the full-time Military Peer Support Specialist will provide person-centered, culturally competent services through a remote arrangement, handling requests via telephone, chat, and text while offering peer support and appropriate referrals. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships to identify emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral changes in individuals served Utilize standardized templates to conduct thorough telephone screenings of service needs across various populations Document all contact information and input data accurately in accordance with departmental protocols Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent At least three years of active duty service or equivalent experience in a combat zone or National Guard Demonstrated ability to use a computer for recording services and basic office functions Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
