Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This hands-on position is responsible for cutting, processing, assembling, and welding steel components using a variety of shop equipment and hand tools. Work will be performed both in our main fabrication shop and at various locations across the plant property. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mastery of welding techniques, equipment safety, and precise fabrication practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality MIG and Stick (SMAW) welding, including proper machine setup and parameter adjustment.
• Cutting & Metal Processing: Safely operate oxy-acetylene torches and plasma cutters to cut and shape materials according to specifications.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Utilize basic shop equipment and manual hand tools to complete assembly and fabrication projects.
• Shop Maintenance & Safety: Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure all tools and machinery are kept in safe operating condition. Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional, on-the-job welding and fabrication experience.
• Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in MIG and Stick welding, machine setup, and torch/plasma cutting operations.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident using standard hand tools and foundational shop equipment.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, solid work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience operating overhead hoists and bridge cranes.
• Experience working from scissor lifts and aerial boom lifts.
• Hands-on experience with a plate shear and press brake.
• Ability to weld aluminum using a MIG spool gun.
• Experience loading and operating a CNC plasma cutting table.
• Basic operational knowledge of a metal lathe and drill/mill machine.
