Southern Regional Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experiencedCertified Nurse Midwife (CNM)to join our Women’s Health and Labor & Delivery team as a1099 Independent Contractor. This opportunity offers schedule flexibility while providing comprehensive, evidence-based obstetrical and gynecologic care in a collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• n

  Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.

  n
n
• n

  Independently manage low-risk pregnancies and deliveries.

  n
n
• n

  Conduct routine gynecologic examinations and women’s health visits.

  n
n
• n

  Perform labor management, spontaneous vaginal deliveries, and postpartum care.

  n
n
• n

  Identify high-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for consultation or transfer of care.

  n
n
• n

  Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, contraception, and preventive health.

  n
n
• n

  Accurately document all patient encounters within the electronic medical record.

  n
n
• n

  Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

  n
n
• n

  Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.

  n
n

Qualifications

n
• n

  Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery.

  n
n
• n

  Current certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).

  n
n
• n

  Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  n
n
• n

  Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (state applicable).

  n
n
• n

  DEA registration (if required).

  n
n
• n

  BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.

  n
n
• n

  Minimum one year of CNM experience preferred; exceptional new graduates are encouraged to apply.
