Job Summary
At K&L Gates, we are looking for smart, imaginative and hard‑working people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and ideas to join us. We are seeking a mid‑level Private Equity associate. This position is open to our Charleston, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, and Miami offices. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of private equity experience, including corporate aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and day‑to‑day operations involving Private Equity portfolio companies. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required.
Responsibilities
Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. They must be self‑starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Cooperate with national and international clients and K&L Gates lawyers across the firm’s global platform. Provide high‑quality client service.
Qualifications
Four to six years of private equity experience. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. Ability to work flexible hours.
Compensation
Base Compensation $235,000 - $360,000 per year. Salary determined during the interview process and will vary based on prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
