A law firm seeks an experienced midlevel associate to join their Corporate M&A team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of Corporate M&A experience, with a preference for private equity transaction experience.
Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related documents.
- Manage and close M&A and related transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence.
- Advise clients on general corporate and business matters.
- Work with representation and warranty insurance underwriting.
Requirements
- Three to five years of Corporate M&A experience.
- Experience with partnership agreements and joint ventures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the state bar.
