At Chamberlain Group, we hire smart people to work on cool products for a connected world.Position Summary:MyQ is a product that connects Garage Door Openers, Lights, and other devices to a constantly connected cloud in order to provide a user benefit that includes away from home access control, notification, access history, and scheduled device commands.This role is responsible for developing and maintaining development platforms for the Chamberlain MyQ program. This includes, but is not limited to middleware that serves as the foundation for MyQ residential and commercial platforms. To accomplish this the Software Engineer will work with other developers as well as other functions such as Engineering, Product Ownership, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Service in order to understand and translate product requirements into technical requirements, verify development matches product owner expectations, as well as maintain a high quality code base.Responsibilities:Work using Agile methodologies such as Scrum to develop middlewareAnalyze requirements, collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs of moderate scope and complexityParticipate in peer reviews and pull requests to yield high quality softwarePresent software concepts, designs, or code in a design review forumProvide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers to increase the software development capability of the middleware team.

Be a reliable source for technical troubleshooting and support for the scrum teamLead and contribute to technical discussions in community of practice, design review, or other technical meeting forumsWork with offshore teams to design and develop features, and burn down technical debtEnsure adherence to coding standards and other best practices to create reusable codeResponsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document LibraryProtect CGI's reputation by keeping information confidentialMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededRequirements:4 years of experience with.NET DevelopmentStrong C# and SQL experienceExperience building software on AzureExperience with Visual studio, GITNice to have:ASP.NET MVC experienceFront-end development experience with Angular or ReactAzure DevOps experienceThorough understanding of OOP, SOLID, and RESTful servicesGood communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally with front end and quality engineersAbility to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationallyExperience Loophole:An advanced degree in directly applicable area of study may substitute for up to two (2) years of job-related experience
