Overview

Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This part-time position includes teaching two sections of 6th/7th grade math. The hours are brief (each period is approximately 45 minutes long) - this is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility and a very part time position. The ideal candidate will foster mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
• Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages collaboration, inquiry, and mathematical exploration.
• Utilize technology, manipulatives, and diverse instructional strategies to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress through varied assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Teaching experience in middle school math preferred.
• Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, and mathematical reasoning.
• Ability to create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
