Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Certified Math Teacher. The ideal candidate is skilled at building strong mathematical foundations while helping students reason, model, and apply mathematics to real-world contexts. This teacher will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that supports diverse learners and promotes academic growth.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Math 1 & Math 2 , including:
• Linear, quadratic, and exponential relationships
• Functions and modeling
• Systems of equations and inequalities
• Descriptive statistics, data analysis, and probability
• Algebraic reasoning and mathematical justification
• Use multiple instructional strategies (direct instruction, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and math discourse) to meet diverse student needs
• Regularly assess student understanding using formative and summative assessments
• Analyze data to identify misconceptions and adjust instruction accordingly
• Support students in developing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application
• Implement intervention and enrichment strategies as needed
• Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with instructional coaches, PLCs, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
• Uphold school policies, expectations, and professional responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License in Mathematics
• Strong knowledge of NC Math 1 standards
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning levels
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to student growth and continuous professional learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Math 1
• Experience using data-driven instruction and intervention strategies
• Familiarity with curriculum platforms and digital learning tools
• Experience working in diverse or high-needs learning environments
