Mid-Shift Mill Operator

Mill OperatorsNazdar's manufacturing plant is in search of Mill Operators to assist in the ink production area.Shift is from Monday - Thursday 1:30 PM - 12 AM. Eligible for benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off!!Purpose: Tends one or more ink manufacturing mills that grinds and blends raw materials into screen printing inks.Responsibilities include:Tends 3-roll mill in a continuous production/processing operationFollows production process specifications, or instructions from lead or higher-level technical personnelMonitors mill operations and reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in equipment to the supervisorPerforms grind check after required number of passes are complete, and determines if additional passes are needed. Records production and grind information of batch tickets (grind approval, batch weight, number of passes, etc.)Submits batch tickets to Quality Control for approvalPerforms job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.Assists with other duties as assignedQualifications and Skills:Background in manufacturing/production required.Two or more years of related experience outside of the company or previous demonstrated competencies in current position within the company.Ability to utilize iPad and scanners for data entry.Safety-orientedInfor M3, ERP, or other inventory management system experience highly preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills required.Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.Physical Requirements*:(*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)Must be able to:stand and walk around the production floor for long periodsreach with hands and arms overhead above shouldersbend to retrieve containers and packagesconstantly lift materials to make batchesclimb ladders to retrieve materialstalk or hearfrequently lift and/or move up to 75 poundsmay be required to push/pull on wheels, up to 4000 poundsspecific vision abilities required are ability to distinguish colorEqual Opportunity Employer.
