Mid-Level/Senior Litigation AssociateRole: Associate in General Liability LitigationExpertise: 3+ years of experienceJob Location: Valhalla (Westchester), Garden City (Long Island) or Parsippany, NJ - Hybrid office / remoteDescription: Represent business owners, landlords, managing agents, security services organizations and a wide variety of commercial business owners in general liability litigation.ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions;Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other legal correspondence and litigation documents;Represent clients in court;Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all other aspects of general liability litigation;Interact with medical experts;Conduct legal and medical research and analysis;Draft motions;Work cooperatively with others; andInteract with clients.Education and Experience RequiredAdmission to practice in New York;At least 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or comparable experience;Familiarity with New York Labor Law a plus.Skills and Abilities RequiredStrong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence;Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;Excellent organizational and time management skills;Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.NY Comprehensive Total Rewards PackageKaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP is proud to offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package. The anticipated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $175,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting.

In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
