Role Focus
This role is specifically focused on employment litigation and employment counseling. The attorney
may represent both employers and employees and should be comfortable with litigation as well as
employment-related advice.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage employment litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Provide litigation and pre-litigation advice.
• Conduct workplace investigations.
• Advise on compliance, discipline, termination, wage practices, and policies.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and agencies.

Must-Have
• 3 6 years employment litigation experience.
• State and/or federal court experience.
• Dispositive motion experience.
• Discovery management experience.
• Knowledge of California employment law and civil procedure.
• California Bar admission or ability to obtain admission promptly.
Preferred
• Both plaintiff-side and defense-side experience.
• Wage & hour experience.
• Employment arbitration.
• Workplace investigations.
• Employer counseling.
