A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. This opportunity offers meaningful client contact, substantial responsibility, hands‑on litigation experience, and direct access to experienced partners. The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution and will thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment. This position may be based in either the firm's Baltimore or Rockville, Maryland office.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Collaborate closely with partners on complex litigation matters
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
- Assume increasing responsibility for case strategy and matter management
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission and good standing
- 3-6 years of litigation experience
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Desire to take on significant responsibility and build a long‑term litigation practice
