A law firm seeks a mid-level intellectual property litigation associate with three to five years of experience to join its team in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will support the management of patent, trademark, and copyright litigation matters, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative legal environment.
Duties
- Manage patent litigation matters in U.S. federal courts and PTAB proceedings.
- Support trademark and copyright litigation management.
- Draft motions and briefs, including discovery and dispositive motions.
- Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for testimony.
- Assist with fact and expert discovery and document review.
- Contribute to infringement and invalidity analyses.
- Support trial preparation and provide in-court support.
- Collaborate on case strategy and settlement discussions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Guide junior team members and foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- 3–5 years of intellectual property litigation experience.
- Experience with key phases of IP litigation and trial preparation.
- Technical background preferred; USPTO registration a plus.
- Experience with PTAB IPRs and ITC Section 337 investigations is a plus.
- Familiarity with FRCP, FRE, and e‑discovery tools.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain admission by waiver.
