Mid-Level Full Stack EngineerSimpleClosure is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll work across the stack to build, improve, and scale core product functionality that directly impacts our customers.You'll work in a small pod with dedicated product and design support, shipping in short cycles alongside the internal teams who use the platform every day. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning features end to end – balancing frontend craftsmanship with backend problem-solving in a fast-moving startup environment.Candidates MUST be located in the New York City Metro area.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain full-stack features across the SimpleClosure platformCollaborate with Product, Design additional stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutionsImplement clean, maintainable frontend experiences using Next.js, React and TypeScriptBuild and integrate backend services, APIs, and data models to support product workflowsWrite high-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviewsOwn features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and iterationDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production environmentsContinuously improve development processes, tooling, and code qualityDesired Skills & QualificationsExperience: 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environmentFrontend: Strong experience with React and TypeScript; Next.js or similar frameworks preferredBackend: Experience building server-side logic, APIs and integrating with third party servicesDatabases: Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databasesOwnership: Comfortable taking projects from concept through deployment and iterationProblem-Solving: Proactive, thoughtful engineer who can navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisionsCollaboration: Strong team player who enjoys working cross-functionallyCommunication: Clear written and verbal communication skillsAdaptability: Thrives in an evolving startup environment with shifting prioritiesWhat We OfferBase Salary: $120,000 - $170,000, depending on experience levelCompetitive equity packageComprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and visionLife insuranceUnlimited paid time offFlexible hybrid work environment in New York City, Midtown (currently 2 days per week in office)Two company-wide offsites each year401(k) with Traditional and Roth options, with immediate eligibilitySimpleClosure Is An Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to providing a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
