Final salary will be determined based on relevant experience and overall fit for the role.HourlyFull TimeBenefits include medical, dental and vision, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 3% 401K contribution (no matching required), company events.Position SummaryUnder general supervision, the Machinist will set up and operate CNC Mills / Okuma and Haas Milling machines and conventional machines to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram CNC machines using CAMWorks software integrated with SolidWorks.Perform set-up and first article on CNC Mill tasks in a safe and responsible manner.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.Properly and safely load and unload raw material in CNC machinery.Use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.Perform tool wear offsets.Conduct daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.Required Qualifications3-5 years of experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (mills, grinders, etc.)Ability to learn CAMWorks software integrated with SolidWorks.Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurementsUnderstand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsetsAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manualsHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.U.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentDesired QualificationsExperience using CAMWorks with SolidWorks for programming CNC machining operations.Salary Range$35-$40 an hourSonatech is an equal opportunity employer.
