Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Financial Services group in Washington, DC. The practice group provides comprehensive regulatory, litigation, legislative, and transactional services to financial institutions and fintech clients, handling complex regulatory and transactional issues, chartering and licensing, investigations, and administrative enforcement actions.
Duties
- Provide legal services in bank regulatory, anti-money laundering, consumer protection, fintech, chartering, or cryptocurrency matters.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support client needs.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Represent clients in legislative matters related to the financial services industry.
Requirements
- Experience in bank regulatory, anti-money laundering, consumer protection, fintech, chartering, or cryptocurrency matters.
- Strong research, writing, and analytic skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively.
- Experience with Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN, or state banking agencies preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
