Mid-Career or Senior Tenure Track Faculty Professor, Indianapolis Campus

Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) seeks qualified applicants for tenure‑track faculty positions at the rank of associate or full professor. Candidates should have a record of nationally or internationally disseminated, peer‑reviewed scholarship and an emerging or sustained national reputation. IUSON offers a full range of academic programs from BSN to DNP and PhD and invites applicants who will contribute to our commitment to research, teaching, and service in a diverse campus and community.

Position Summary

Overall, the candidate’s responsibilities include contributing to IUSON’s research, teaching, and service missions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a record of nationally and/or internationally disseminated and peer‑reviewed scholarship. For Associate Professor applicants, evidence of an emerging national reputation is required; for Full Professor applicants, evidence of a sustained national reputation, a well-established body of work, and a vigorous research agenda with competitive external funding is required.
• Engage in high‑quality teaching and mentoring.
• Actively participate in service at the school, campus, community, and professional levels.

Basic Qualifications

• PhD required. A PhD in Nursing Science is preferred; a PhD in a related field (public health, health sciences, psychology, sociology, etc.) will also be considered.
• PhD holders in Nursing must be licensed or eligible for an Indiana RN license.
• Strong preference for a successful history of external funding (e.g., NIH, HRSA, NLN, PCORI).
• Appointment to rank and salary depends on evidence of scholarly, teaching, and service achievements.
