Our work depends on a MCM Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Desktop Engineering Services. As an MCM Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for software deployment, patch deployment, configuration, IT baselines, importing & testing, etc. within the enterprise.In this role, a typical day will include:Utilizing Microsoft MCM to provide user workstation baseline configuration and administration of operating systemsIdentifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutionsWriting PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasksProviding guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineersUtilizing MCM to provide security updates, vulnerability patches, hotfixes, and other updates to user workstations and serversDeveloping and maintaining baselines images for servers and laptops to add the latest security updates, software versions, hotfixes, patches, etc.What You'll Need:Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraphMust meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline + 8 years' experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experienceExpert level experience with SCCM and WSUSSolid understanding of VMware vCenterFunctional understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Active DirectoryExpertise in MDT and MCM (capturing images (WIM), creating packages, advertisements, task sequences, operating system deployment (OSD) and queries).Familiarity with DISA STIGs for Windows operating systemsExpertise with IAVA process including RMF release process, testing, approval, and deployment processesSolid knowledge of Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO managementDesired CertificationsMicrosoft Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or equivalentMicrosoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278.
This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
