Microsoft Azure Cloud AdministratorThe Customer is looking to engage an experienced, professional, Microsoft Azure Cloud Administrator to assist FTE and guide them throughout the setup, implementation, and performance monitoring of Cloud Migration Programs.General Responsibilities:Azure Administrator Responsibilities are to set up and deploy those Custom-Developed Applications and continuously monitor their health. They also need to forecast and manage the demand for the apps, that are hosted on the Azure platform. Finally, Admins need to make sure that Data is secured, access is secured, costs are monitored and controlled, and the applications and data backed up.The Azure Administrator will be responsible for providing technical expertise in deploying applications on Microsoft Azure.
The Azure Administrator must be self-motivated and apply knowledge of Azure to drive solutions, support the development team, and create documentation to support and describe technical solutions. An ideal candidate will have deep technical Azure platform expertise and demonstrate high standards of accountability, customer focus, and quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Implement, setup, configure, monitor, and maintain various Microsoft Azure solutions Azure SaaS Cloud Services and resources, including major services related to applications, storage, networking, subscriptions, security, and high availability disaster recovery, including:Azure Application ServicesAzure Access ControlAzure Cost ManagementAzure Performance ManagementAzure Application GatewaysAzure BackupAzure Virtual NetworksAzure StorageAzure SQLDisaster RecoveryDeploy and maintain PaaS & SaaS enterprise application for development, QA, staging, and production environments hosted on cloud infrastructure.Understanding of a multitude of Azure resources and services such as containers, virtual machines, storage, firewalls, network security groups, web application firewalls, vnets, log analytics, sentinel, azure monitor, alerting, metrics, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure AD, Data Catalog, Web Apps, Functions, Application Service Environments, Key Vaults, Azure Backups.Manage cloud environments in line with security guidelinesDevelop a library of scripts to automate cloud environments.Identify and generate solutions to current problems in the organization.Aid developers and DevOps teams with implementing automation scripts that follow the company standards.Collaborating with DevOps team members as well as all of engineeringEnsure that solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.Partner with solution architect and development team to fully understand product requirements and configure the Azure environments which meet these requirements.Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environments. Create custom scripts to automate support processes where applicable.Manage Azure AD infrastructure and collaborate with various teams to ensure it integrates seamlessly with all components including network, security, messaging, and remote access.Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues.Research, adopt and relate new technologies to solve issues that arise while adhering to company security and standards.Knowledge of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP) and cryptographic protocols.Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks is required for success at this position.Comprehensive knowledge of Azure Active Directory.Azure Tenant Build Outs experience.Solid scripting skills is required for success at this position.Experience in working with formal Change Control Systems following the ITIL model.Assist with backup and restoration of files and databases and virtual machines.Mentor, coach, and share knowledge with other team members throughout the organization.Other duties as assigned.Essential Technical Experience and Education Technical:5+ year’s experience in MS Azure administration Education:Bachelor’s degree preferredCertificates (required):Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate preferredCertificates (preferred):MCSE (Cloud Platform and Infrastructure)MCSD (Azure Solutions Architect)Required Personal Skills:Willingness to go above and beyondThe ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsVery detail-oriented in planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-upThe ability to work completely independently or with a teamTeam player attitude with experience working in a collaborative environment.
