Oncology Business AnalystMarshall Health Network is seeking an experienced Oncology Business Analyst to support the technology systems that power oncology services across our organization. This role partners closely with clinical leaders, operational teams, and IT professionals to analyze business needs, implement system solutions, and improve the performance of healthcare applications supporting oncology care.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in health information systems, electronic health records (EHR), and healthcare operations, along with the ability to translate complex clinical and operational workflows into effective technology solutions.This position plays a key role in strategic projects, system implementations, reporting development, and ongoing application support for oncology services.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with oncology leadership and operational teams to analyze business and system requirements.Translate operational needs into functional system designs and technology solutions.Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and optimization of healthcare applications.Develop system documentation, workflows, and technical support materials.Create and execute testing plans and scenarios for new system functionality.Monitor system performance and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.Support development of data reporting, analytics, and database queries.Collaborate with leadership to design and implement database applications and reporting tools.Lead or support strategic information systems initiatives and improvement projects.Maintain vendor and system information for supported applications.Assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.Provide technical support and guidance to system users and operational departments.Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and system information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.EducationBachelor's degree in Health Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related fieldORCoursework leading to Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification from the American Health Information Management AssociationRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in healthcare information systems, business systems analysis, or related field.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience planning, designing, and implementing health information system applicationsStrong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processesKnowledge of inpatient and outpatient clinical documentation workflowsExperience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience developing reports, queries, and data extraction toolsStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate with physicians, clinicians, administrators, and IT teamsKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standardsExperience supporting healthcare system end-users and departmentsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role requires the ability to perform computer-based work, including extended periods of keyboarding and data analysis.
