Metrology EngineerOASIS Alignment Services is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team supporting the East region. This role is ideal for individuals who are naturally curious, enjoy solving complex mechanical challenges, and take pride in working with advanced measurement technology and large-scale industrial systems.This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting a diverse customer base across multiple industries while utilizing cutting-edge 3D laser metrology tools.Responsibilities include:Utilize precision laser metrology instruments to collect alignment and dimensional dataDiagnose mechanical and alignment issues and recommend corrective solutionsPerform or oversee corrective maintenance and alignment proceduresDevelop detailed Technical Service Reports, including 3D modeling documentationCollaborate with sales and account management teams to scope and quote projectsProvide training and guidance on metrology tools and alignment techniquesQualifications:Must be willing to travel approximately 60% of the time (including multi-day, overnight stays)2 or 4-yr degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related fieldStrong mathematical foundation, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometryDemonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written communication skills, particularly in technical reportingProficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with AutoCAD required; familiarity with SolidWorks, CATIA, BuildIT, Spatial Analyzer, CAM2, or PolyWorks preferredProven ability and motivation to grow into a leadership role within 1–2 yearsPrior experience with the Naval industry preferredWhy Join OASIS Alignment Services?At OASIS, we are more than a service provider—we are industry leaders in precision alignment and 3D laser metrology.
