Job Overview
Requirement/Must Have:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
- Operate hand grinding tools (both belt and stone).
- Operate metal cleaning equipment, water flow and sonic equipment.
- Adjust parts by use of presses, heat or other dimensional tooling.
- Operate hand sandblast and auto blast units.
- Maintain expected quality levels.
- Function as a member of a team and work under general supervision.
- Work and function in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform metal cleaning, finishing, and dimensional inspection.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to read parts to the .0001.
- Understanding of gauging and templates.
- Finishing skills (stones, burrs, belts, etc.).
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instruction.
Education and Experience:
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to lift approximately 30% of the time, with assistance for weights exceeding 35 pounds.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments.
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
