Merchandising Associate - Data Specialists
An integral member of the merchandising team, the Merchandising Associate liaises with merchandisers, vendors, stores, and C&S warehouse to create a seamless workflow.
Job Description:
Offer/Deal Assistance
- Work closely with Merchandiser on creating Ad Offers and implementing Manufacturer Deal Contracts into SAP.
- Review and QC Weekly Ad Confidential to ensure all offers are built correctly and completely with accurate Items, Costs, and Retail Prices.
- Assist in addressing issues related to Offers at Store Level once Ad Week goes live.
Category Management
- Analyze Center Store Department TLOG Sales and Syndicated Market Trends from category to item level on a weekly basis, communicating insights and recommendations to Merchandisers.
- Monitor and report GPM Trends on a weekly basis with focus on areas of opportunity.
- Assist Merchandiser in maintaining item hierarchy, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Meeting Preparation
- Prepare promotional details and competitive Ad analysis for bi-weekly GFD Ad Committee meeting, working closely with Advertising Department.
- Create and proofread Promotional Meeting Sheets, including sales history, case projections, Promoted Price Points and Gross Profit objectives.
- Build clear and insightful presentations for Quarterly Gross Profit Steering meetings with Membership.
- Participate in and provide recap of Vendor Meetings, communicating follow ups and implementing next steps.
Event Participation
- Coordinate Vendor participation in events and programs, including but not limited to Golf Outings, Food Shows, and Seminars.
- Work as liaison between Manufacturers and Support Services to set up new and existing open stock items, shippers, and event space prior to the event.
- Provide stores with weekly updates, featuring Seasonal Merchandising and intermittent Buying opportunities.
- Merchandising Ad Hoc Requests Including but not limited to issuing store credits, setting up new vendors, sending store distributions to C&S, etc.
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Previous experience in Grocery Industry a plus.
- Experience working with SAP a major plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary for this position is $60k to $65K Annually
