📣 We’re Hiring: Merchandise Initiatives Project Manager
đź“Ť This is an onsite role based at our Dollar General headquarters in Goodlettsville, TN. Not Remote.
If you’re a strong project manager who enjoys bringing people, data and execution together, this could be a great opportunity to join Dollar General’s Merchandising organization. This role will lead key cross-functional and strategic merchandising initiatives, working across the organization to define, execute and measure project outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage key cross-functional and strategic merchandising projects, working throughout the organization to define, deliver and measure project results while providing project management and analytics to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Gather and interpret information to identify key project elements, including data related to planograms, fixtures, items and labor, while recommending changes to optimize productivity, reduce costs and minimize risks. (
• Work with internal and external partners to drive timely issue resolution during rollout and implementation processes, while maintaining weekly and monthly project status reporting to management.
• Travel for initiative projects as required during implementation to ensure vendor compliance, execution and accuracy.
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to organize, prioritize, remain detail-oriented and operate as a self-starter
• Ability to proactively anticipate problems and identify appropriate actions and solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to partner, coordinate and delegate to all levels of management
• Strong merchandising, space planning, supply chain and retail knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management and reporting tools preferred
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or a minimum of four or more years of project management experience across multiple projects
• Experience within a retail or construction environment preferred
