The Tax Team collaborates with our wealth management teams to provide tax compliance services to our high-net-worth clients. The Tax Team comprises tax professionals, including Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and accountants across the nation. In addition, a significant portion of our tax practice manages the tax compliance process for our clients' individual income tax, trust, and gift tax returns.As a member of the Tax Team, the Tax Manager is primarily responsible for leading client relationships, preparation, and delivery of income tax returns, tax projections, and analysis for our clients.

The Tax Manager has a passion for client service with experience in personal and corporate tax preparation. The Tax Manager is personable, demonstrates superior communication skills, and possesses the flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced tax preparation environment.Essential Job Functions for the Tax Manager will include:Prepare and review tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businessesCreate quarterly estimates and projections.Responsible for clear & concise communication with clients on all matters related to delivery of income tax returnsPerform tax researchResponsible for timely and accurate response to tax questions, estimates, projections, and analysis with both tax and wealth management clientsWork with tax staff to respond to tax notices and initial preparation of corresponding letters.Stays up to date on tax law and any changes, as well as communicates the effects of the law changes to clientsManagerial responsibility for a team of Senior Tax Advisors, Tax Advisors, Tax Associates, and/or Tax Assistants in the local office or region, as assigned.All other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Minimum 6+ years of public accounting experience, or equivalent experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldStrong tax code knowledge and general accounting skillsCPA and/or EA requiredMaster's degree in Tax a plusExperience with UltraTax, Lacerte, and Sureprep a plus.Highly organized and tax-orientedAbility to handle a large volume of activities at one timeAbility to communicate concepts to clients and advisors in concise and understandable fashionMust be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skillsWork Schedule: Daytime and evening hours as neededWorking Conditions: Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a work station, no heavy lifting over 20 lbs.
