MEP Project Manager IIMortenson is currently seeking a MEP Project Manager II responsible for providing overall direction and leadership on MEP dominant projects or MEP scopes of work on medium to large projects, managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.ResponsibilitiesManage the overall financial health of projects, including financial projections, cost codes, invoices, and monthly owner billingsOversee budget and selection of trade partners and suppliers, handle billings and contract management, and manage the 3-D coordination and commissioning processesLead project closeout activities, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and trainingManage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), providing job assignments, career development, and performance feedbackFunction as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative, resolving site concerns and building positive relationshipsManage change orders, determining when to submit and obtaining customer/architect approvalMaintain schedule and budget until project completion, and provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and complianceEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels, and lead team members by example, offering effective coaching and feedbackQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experienceMinimum seven years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorCurrent driver's licenseAbility to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projectsDetail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasksBasic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesIntermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skillsPositive and professional attitude with strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedbackAbility to travel up to 100%Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plansA few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $132,100 MIN - $198,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
