MEP Project Manager IMortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager I with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Provide overall direction and leadership on a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) dominant project or for MEP scopes of work on medium to large projects to include the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.Responsibilities include:Manage the overall financial health of projectsDevelop and maintain project financial and equipment projectionsDetermine and allocate project estimates into the financial systemDetermine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisionsProvide financials and billings to Accounting for timely paymentCreate monthly owner billingsManage subcontracts and suppliers for the projectOversee budget and select trade partners and suppliersHandle billings and contract management, including contract buyoutsOversee the 3-D coordination process to resolve conflicts prior to installationDirect and manage the commissioning process, including the startup plan, COT, commissioning schedule, and functional testingLead all activities required in project closeout, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and trainingManage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)Provide job assignments and manage career developmentApprove timecards for on-site team membersProvide ongoing feedback on work performanceFunction as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representativeAssist with the review of the owner agreementResolve site concerns for the owner or representativeProvide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunitiesManage change orders, determine when to submit to the owner or on-site representatives, and obtain customer/architect's approvalMaintain schedule and budget until project completionProvide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team membersPerform other duties as assignedQualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experienceProven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesMicrosoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesMinimum six years construction management experience, preferably experience with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorCurrent driver's licenseA few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $113,500 - $170,300.
(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
